Background
Blitz Bronzehammer’s family have been smiths for generations. They specialize in small weapons, of the sort including daggers and short swords. Occasionally they’ll do a larger piece, but the bulk of their work is making high quality but affordable pieces. Nothing fancy, but well made and durable. Blitz expected to go into the family business growing up, but when he was in his thirties he started to show signs of magical abilities. Over the next several years, they gradually strengthened, and eventually he accepted the inevitable, and began looking for another sorcerer to train under.
He eventually found another dwarven sorcerer in a nearby town that agreed to take him on, and he regretfully bid farewell to his family, and went off to study under Kurt Dauser, to learn the basics of how to use his abilities. While there, he progressed steadily, growing more confident in his skills and eventually reaching the point that his master said he had learned all he could without going out on his own and adventuring. During his last six months with his master, during a practice session outside town, Blitz somehow managed to tear open a rift into the Plane of Water, and a mysterious shard of ice came through. After repairing the rift, Kurt gave the un-melting shard of ice to Blitz, saying it was bound up in his destiny.
Uncertain of what exactly he is carrying, Blitz has left his master behind, and is looking for a group in need of someone with his abilities to adventure with. What does the future hold? Why did the Plane of Water drop a piece of primal ice into his possession? It’s time to find out…
